The Architectural Technology Department of New York City College of Technology at CUNY has joined a partnership with the Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation(BEDC) and Pratt Area Community Council (PACC) in the development of ideas for the streetscape of Central Fulton. The students in Professor Bouratoglou's ARCH3511 focused on twelve blocks along Fulton Street from Vanderbilt to Bedford Avenue.
The Projects main objective was attracting customers with image, access and ease. The areas that were requested to be looked at were: storefront awnings and signage, district signage, exterior lighting, banner displays, environmental stewardship, tree guards, seating, way-finding elements, bicycle racks, and trash receptacles.
